Registration form: Beautiful Beginnings
UofL Hospitalâ€™s Center for Women & Infantâ€™s Beautiful BeginningsÂ offers free pregnancy and child care classes to everyone.
We suggest registering for class during the second trimester (after 20 weeks). Medical students and others wishing to attend for education purposes are also welcome.
Register for the series that is most convenient for you.Â There is no fee to take the classes. Please register for either a full Series class (6-8 p.m. once a weekÂ for five weeks) or Blitz class (one Saturday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.) by filling out the form below.
The third class of each series is dedicated to breastfeeding and is open to those needing a refresher course. Grandparents are invited to attend the last class of the series, which primarily focuses on infant care.

Each series covers a wide variety of topics such as:
- understanding normal body changes during pregnancy
- signs of true labor
- comfort techniques
- medical procedures
- vaginal delivery
- Cesarean delivery
- Kangaroo Care
- postpartum care
- infant nutrition and breastfeeding
- infant care
Classes are held in the Glass Room, which is in the basement of Ambulatory Care Building (ACB) across the street from UofL Hospital, 530 S. Jackson Street. Parking is free in the hospitalâ€™s garage. Please bring your parking ticket to class for validation.
